If it plugs in or charges up, bring it on by. Here's the bread and butter.
Screen's black? Fan sounds like a leaf blower? We'll crack it open and see what's what. Most times it's a loose wire, a tired battery, or a part that's quietly given up.
Computer acting squirrelly, taking ten minutes to open a browser, or popping up windows it shouldn't? We'll dig through the bits and bytes, clear out the gunk, and get it running like it used to.
Got hit with one of those scary pop-ups telling you to call Microsoft? Don't. Bring it to us instead. We'll scrub it clean, lock the doors behind it, and show you what to watch for next time.
Hard drive making clicking sounds, or a laptop that won't boot with twenty years of photos on it? We'll do our level best to get your files off safely, then help you set up a backup so it doesn't happen twice.
Wi-Fi spotty in the back bedroom? Internet dropping every time the microwave runs? We'll wrangle the cables, place the router right, and get your signal reaching the shed.
Want something special? Gaming rig, video-editing tower, or a quiet little box for the office — we'll piece together a machine that'll last through the coldest winters and the longest LAN parties.
If it's got a power button, we probably handle it. Give us a call and ask.
02 — What to expect
No appointment needed. Here's what a visit looks like.
Stop by the shop on Pelham Street during open hours, or send us a service request and we'll be expecting you. Laptops, towers, all-in-ones — bring the power cord too if you've got it.
We'll ask you what's going on, poke around, and figure out what's wrong. Most of the time we can tell you the same day. We'll call before doing any work that costs money.
When it's ready, we'll ring you. You pay when you pick up. We'll show you what we did and how to keep it from happening again.
03 — About the shop
Computer Plus is a small shop, and that's on purpose. When you bring a machine in, the person who looks at it is the person who'll fix it and the person who'll hand it back to you. No call-center, no upselling, no sending your laptop off to who-knows-where.
We've been keeping Rhinelander's computers running for years — the same desktops, laptops, and home networks, year after year, customer after customer. If you've got a machine that's giving you trouble, we'd be glad to take a look.
